Nelson London Bates, Original Founder

During my time working for the Walt Disney Company, I came into contact with the Disney Imagineers.

I thought they had the best job in the entire company.

They not only came up with creative ideas — but made them happen.

That’s what I wanted to do.

With a-small-twist.

In addition to dreaming up the ideas, I needed to own the Rights to them.

So that meant I needed to strike out on-my own and build everything from scratch.

. . . and that’s what I’ve done; and loved almost every minute of it.

So how did Miss Higley’s Art get its’ start.

I was in a Target store with my three-year-old daughter, standing in the Baseball Card isle; when I noticed they had three full racks of Garbage Pail Kids for sale.

I was impressed that something I collected as a kid in 1985, was still being sold in Target.

I know shelf-space is very valuable and thought these silly portraits must be very profitable.

And they are.

Amazingly, they were still using some of the same artwork from the ’80’s — when the idea popped-in-my head that I’d like to do some interesting children’s art, the whole family can enjoy.

And that’s how Miss Higley’s Bonsai Art art got its start!

I’ve also served as the lead Web Master for Walt Disney World and have written two #1 bestsellers about entrepreneurship.¹

I’ve also run The Bonsaiii Company, LLC. It was a business that sold world-class bonsai and handmade, gallery-quality pottery. (Sold, 2018)

Before that, I Founded The Entrepreneurs Studio, LLC — which was a creative advertising company that designed richly imaginative marketing campaigns for companies. (Sold, 2016.)

It was in 1995 that I pioneered the Web Marketing industry with the original Internet Marketing Center™ website.

In 2002 I Founded BuySellWebsite.com, LLC and built it into the #1 Ranked Website For-Sale Marketplace Worldwide.³

In 2003 I invented the Web’s most used Website Appraisal system to value Internet companies.

In 2006 I started BestWebsite.com® LLC and ran it for 5 years.  It taught others how to build successful Web businesses of their own (Sold, 2012).

I’m probably best known for my creative marketing strategies to build businesses. I consider myself  Imagineer Entrepreneur.

That just means I’m in-charge of coming up with the creative ideas and making them happen, as well as owning the Rights to the assets.

I am enthralled with beautiful design, and elegant marketing.

I live in sunny Orlando, Florida with my Family and our beaming-with-happiness eight-year-old daughter.

I graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Marketing.

Last but not least, my current Grand Project is to build something called The Barefoot Conservatory, right here in Orlando!

A wellness playground for the whole family.  Read more at BarefootConservatory.org
