Nelson London Bates – Founder

During my tenure with the Walt Disney Company, I had the privilege of working alongside the innovative minds of the Disney Imagineers.

Witnessing their ability to dream enchanting ideas AND bring them to life, was inspiring.

That’s when I knew it was what I aspired to do—with a unique twist.

I felt destined to not only dream, but to own the rights to those dreams.

So I ventured out on my own, embarking on a journey of building everything from the ground up.

Most recently, I’ve built Miss Higley’s Art — a charming children’s art business, into a resplendent success by uniquely adding each child’s name to each framed artwork.

How did Miss Higley’s Art get its’ start?

I was in a Target store with my three-year-old daughter, standing in the Baseball Card isle; when I noticed they had three full racks of Garbage Pail Kids for sale.

I was impressed that something I collected as a kid in 1985, was still being sold in Target.

Amazingly, they were still using some of the same artwork from the ’80’s — when the idea popped-in-my head that I wanted to do some interesting children’s art, the whole family can enjoy.

And that’s how Miss Higley’s got its’ start!

Here I am at my daughter’s school for a 30-minute presentation about my Art business.  I wasn’t prepared they’d go BONKERS for the Art.

It was one of the best days of my life, realizing I’m living my childhood dream.

Before building my art business, I owned The Bonsaiii Company.  Which specialized in world-class, gallery-quality bonsai.

It was during this time that my fascination with plants, soils, and natural fertilizers blossomed.

Prior to The Bonsaiii Company, I served as the lead Web Master for Walt Disney World, pioneering the digital era at the most magical place on Earth.

In 2002, I established BuySellWebsite.com, LLC, growing it into the #1 Ranked Website For-Sale Marketplace Worldwide by 2006.³

Renowned for my creative marketing strategies, I consider myself an Imagineer Entrepreneur.

I’m enthralled by beautiful design and elegant marketing.

I live in sunny Orlando, Florida with my happy family.

Last but not least, my dream project is to build a Nature Conservatory called The Barefoot Conservatory, right here in Orlando.

A wellness playground for the whole family, I’ve been working on it for years and it’s starting to come together!
